Privacy policy

Who we are

Archivo Visual ("Archivo", "we") is an independent visual archive of culture, design, and places, run by Daniella Arcila LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect when you use archivovisual.co, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Your account. If you create an account, we keep your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and we never see them. We also keep the entries you save and whether you have a membership.

The newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep your email address and when you confirmed it. If you arrived through one of our ads, we note the name of that ad campaign, so we know which ads work. Nothing else about you comes with it.

Payments. Memberships are paid through Stripe. We never receive your card details. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription references, your membership status, and when it renews.

Visits. We record which pages and entries are viewed, the site a visit came from, the type of device, and the time. These records are not linked to your name, email, or account.

The trip planner. What you type is sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the model behind it, so it can write a reply from the archive's entries. We don't keep a record of your conversations.

Messages. If you write to us, we keep your email and what you sent so we can reply.

In your browser

The site stores a few small things in your browser: your sign-in, so you stay signed in; whether you have already seen or closed the membership note; and, for 30 days, the name of the ad that brought you, if any. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

How we use it

To run your account and membership, send the newsletter you asked for, send emails about your membership, answer messages, and understand which parts of the archive people use. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for others' advertising.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of services to run the site: Framer (the website), Supabase (accounts, the database, and image storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (sending email), Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google), and Anthropic (the trip planner). Each handles your information only to provide its service, under its own privacy policy. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these services operate.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Your newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can cancel a membership at any time from your Account page.

To see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to delete your account, write to archivovisual@casaestudio.co. We will reply within 30 days.

Children

Archivo is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date above. If the change is significant, we will also tell members and subscribers by email.
